For our Family’s Future
A strike is hard on families. Everyone knows it. We
also know we always make sacrifices for the future. It’s always good to
remember why we voted to strike, and what is being stolen from us.
While Boeing gives free health insurance to other employees across the company,
and at our facilities, they demand we pay for their free insurance. The
increased costs are not only unfair, they can cause
financial problems for our members.
Why should we be the ones that take the hit so that others can get their costs
cut?
If we lose the retiree health insurance, the hopes and dreams of an early
retirement go up in smoke. No one will be able to afford that. So you’ll work
longer and longer.
Remember this – while they demand you lose retiree health care, they continue
to provide it to their executives and management personnel. It’s not too
expensive to provide to them, just to you.
How’s that for fair?
Boeing is awash in profits, yet they demand to cut your benefits, so they can
give bigger bonuses to the executives.
If they get these cuts in good times, what will they demand from us when times
are bad?
Sometimes you have to stand up and fight for what’s right, for your families.
